MARIZELLE ARCE, ND, cAK

Dr. Marizelle Arce is a naturopathic doctor, medical anthropologist, and leading voice in terrain-based medicine. With over 17 years of clinical experience, she combines her deep understanding of ancestral healing traditions with modern tools to help individuals reconnect with the natural rhythms of health. Her work bridges the ancient and modern, the cultural and biological, guiding clients toward sustainable vitality rooted in nourishment, awareness, and ecological balance.

Marizelle’s journey began with a degree in Cultural Anthropology, where she focused on nutritional anthropology and traditional medicine systems from around the world. Her Peruvian heritage, coupled with a passion for food, herbs, and behavior, laid the foundation for her studies in naturopathic medicine at the University of Bridgeport, where she spent 4.5 years integrating science with holistic therapeutics.

In clinical practice since 2007, Dr. Arce works out of Westchester, NY, where she specializes in live blood microscopy, AlfaSight thermoregulation thermography, acoustic cardiography, and research on microzymas—foundational biological particles central to health. Her methodology is grounded in the terrain model, which prioritizes the quality and balance of the internal environment over the identification and eradication of pathogens.

Dr. Arce holds certifications in Applied Kinesiology, Personal Training, Iridology, and is a registered herbalist with the American Herbalists Guild. She has served as a Weston A. Price Foundation chapter leader for over nine years and is a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA).

In addition to her private practice, she is the creator and host of the Naturopathic Medicine Cabinet workshop series and teaches terrain-focused therapeutics online, including her course Isopathics Application 1 for the Bigelsen Academy. Her forthcoming online courses in terrain-based naturopathy and herbalism will further expand her educational offerings.

She is the author of Germs Are Not Our Enemy (2025), a groundbreaking book that challenges the fear-based germ theory model and offers an empowering vision of self-regulated health rooted in the body’s innate intelligence. Dr. Arce’s voice has been featured in The End of COVID webinar series, on popular podcasts such as Terrain Theory, Beyond Terrain, Space Busters, and Dawn of Discernment, and in the widely circulated Substack article “The Terrain Doctor.”

Her writings can be found on her Substack newsletter and Instagram (@dr.marizelle), where she shares reflections on holistic healing, sustainable living, and the wisdom of nature.

“Through anthropology, naturopathy, and the terrain ideology for both the body and world, I feel that it is my job to expose people to as much knowledge as I have learned. I also hope for everyone to learn to support companies and farms that help keep the Earth healthy, as well as to learn the way of sustainable living - bringing a new era of healthcare.”

I’ve been a naturopathic doc since 2007 with a lovely, fulfilling practice.

I’m a mom too.

Now I want to teach all my “know-it-all” wisdom to more people in a more fun way.

There’s a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to nutrition, our kids, pets, and personal products.

I want to clear it up for you.

I’m still learning more and more. But I stick to my guns – I like the old, wise ways of doing things.

I always put into practice many of the things I’ve taught my clients over the years.

I experiment with new products, read up on new diets, and see if innovative ways of doing mundane things actually work.

You can learn this too.

You can make your life simpler, easier, and nourish your soul while you’re at it.

As I weed out misinformation, I’ll guide myself, my family, my clients and you to health & happiness – the old school way.
