Hi! I’m Dr. Mari, an “old school” naturopathic doctor and holistic mom.

Balancing a practice with home, being a mom, and constantly learning

DR. MARIZELLE ARCE

Early in her life, Marizelle was curious about the art and craft of medicine. Inspired by her heritage of Peruvian tradition, she pursued an undergraduate degree in Anthropology. With a mix of the two, Anthropology and Medicine, Marizelle concentrated on learning about ancient traditions of food, medicine, shamanism, behavior, herbs, and the sustainability of many world cultures. She has had 3 years of Cultural/Sociological Anthropology in her undergrad (BA), concentrating on nutrition and medicinal methodologies in a wide variety of cultures around the world. After 4 ½ years of Naturopathic medical studies at The University of Bridgeport, College of Naturopathic Medicine (an accredited Naturopathic Medical School), Dr. Arce concentrated on marrying her knowledge and understanding of ancient cultures and traditions with current biology, physiology and modern medicine.

Naturopathic medicine connected her two passions. It allowed her to continue enhancing her knowledge on all cultures view on health as well as be able to apply the knowledge to everyday people. She is an expert in food/nutrition science, ancient and current. Added to all this she is a nationally certified Personal trainer and a internationally certified Applied Kinesiologist.

Opposite to conventional ideology, there is never a focus on the diagnosis, disease, or micro-organism.  The focus of her practice is on the patient and the balance of the internal and external environments. This is called the TERRAIN IDEOLOGY of Health.

“My philosophy consists of classic Naturopathy and Anthropology, using food as the primary medicine. I feel that it is my job to expose people to as much knowledge as I have learned. I also hope for everyone to learn to support companies and farms that help keep the Earth healthy as well as to learn the way of sustainable living.”

I’ve been a naturopathic doc since 2007 with a lovely, fulfilling practice.

I’m a mom too.

Now I want to teach all my “know-it-all” wisdom to more people in a more fun way.

There’s a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to nutrition, our kids, pets, and personal products.

I want to clear it up for you.

I’m still learning more and more. But I stick to my guns – I like the old, wise ways of doing things.

I always put into practice many of the things I’ve taught my clients over the years.

I experiment with new products, read up on new diets, and see if innovative ways of doing mundane things actually work.

You can learn this too.

You can make your life simpler, easier, and nourish your soul while you’re at it.

As I weed out misinformation, I’ll guide myself, my family, my clients and you to health & happiness – the old school way.
